Celebrities join Habitat for Humanity Youth BUILD 2014 to support Asia’s youth tackle poverty housing

More than 15,000 young people to build homes and communities; 100,000 to raise awareness of substandard housing issues through social networks


Bangkok, 3rd April 2014 – Celebrities from across Asia have joined Habitat Youth BUILD 2014, committed to raising awareness and taking action to tackle poverty housing in the region.

Habitat for Humanity Vietnam Joins Worldwide Celebration Of Habitat’s 800,000th Home Milestone


Ho Chi Minh City, 7thNovember 2013 – Habitat for Humanity marked a major milestone Nov. 6 when it began construction of the 800,000th home that the organization has built, rehabilitated or repaired around the world since it was founded in 1976. The home is being built by Atlanta Habitat for Humanity in the US.


Habitat for Humanity Vietnam is among the more than 70 Habitat entities worldwide that have made this milestone possible, having built, renovated or repaired over 11,400 houses since its founding in 2001.


Universal Children’s Day on November 20th - A day to cherish children globally


Ho Chi Minh City, November 20th, 2012. As the world commemorates Universal Children’s Day, Habitat for Humanity Vietnam joins with global communities to promote children’s welfare and children’s rights.


On this occasion, HFH Vietnam welcomes initiatives to celebrate this day and draw particular attention to children’s rights.

Habitat for Humanity Vietnam Welcomes 42 Australian Volunteers for “Nine Dragons Build” In Long An Province

In recognition of International Volunteer Day December 5, Habitat for Humanity Vietnam (HFH Vietnam) and its partner Habitat for Humanity Australia (HFH Australia) kick off the “Nine Dragons” volunteer build to help five families in Long An province build homes, December 5 to December 10, 2011.

Hanoi, 10th December 2011. Today marks the 63rd anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. These are rights that many of us take for granted: the right to marry and have a family, the right to an education, the right to not be held in slavery, and the right to shelter. Much of the world will probably do little to recognize the anniversary, because they live with these rights every day. But for many, this is not the case.
